Bed Construction

Cooper is excited for his big boy bed.  He helped me put screws in any and all holes and then wanted to learn how to use the drill.

Posting Books

With Cooper's new night time freedom, he happily posts books to us under his door while he is to be in bed sleeping.

Bye, Bye Cot

It was time for Cooper to move out of his cot.  We gave him a few days in the cot without the front rail to get use to bed time freedom.

We’re not ready for this!

There have been a few morning lately, that you will hear laughing and playing in Cooper’s room.  Then you realize that Ellie has gotten herself in Cooper’s cot, at least Cooper is still contained.  Over the next few days, you could hear them talking and planning but nothing would happen, until this happened!  They were both so proud of their achievement and happily recreated the scene for a few pictures.

Cooper or Chubbs?

Cooper is getting older, talking more and getting much better at bugging his sister.  He loves her and always wants to be doing whatever she is doing.  Ellie has a new game with him now.  They start by pretending they are both doggies crawling around the house.  Then it changes to Cooper is the dog and will go fetch a ball Ellie rolls down the hall.  Ellie has told us, his dog name is Chubbs.

Cooper’s Climbing

Look who can climb up in Ellie’s bed now!  Poor Ellie this was here one spot to get away from Cooper.  While they enjoyed this time together, Cooper has not been allowed to continue his climbing on Ellie’s bed and with all of Ellie’s dolls, stuffed animals and other important things her bed is usually completely filled.

Preparing

Our bathroom renovation is complete and we are getting ready to replace our old carpet with new wood laminate floors.  We had to move everything out and the kids loved running around the empty house.  Ellie wanted to help take up the carpet, so during Cooper’s nap we let here help.  She made funny shapes as the underlay was pulled up.  She then named a few of them before scraping them up.  She also pointed out all the staples I missed.  Once Cooper was up, Ellie had Cooper throwing out all the little scraps she scraped up.  Once they finished their part they both took my phone and sat in their new fort outside!  Ellie was excited for this one time only to write on her floor and leave a message for some future person.
