Old Gold Mine

On our way home, we stopped at a location of an old gold mine.  The kids loved walking (jumping) across the two suspended bridges and exploring the grounds.

Not that Bird

While the girls were walking along the beach, Cooper and I made a race track for his stick cars in the sand. I noticed a Sea Gull land on the large log not too far away from us and thought it would make a great picture so I turned my attention to the bird.  At the same time, Cooper spotted the bird and thought it would be fun to try to catch it.  In the end, the picture isn’t quite what I expected but it is a funny reminder of our life at the moment!

Road Trip - Part 2

We did so many things over the two days.  We visited a very cool skate park, watched surfers and went on many walks. Cooper didn’t want to ride his balance bike, he just wanted to run around the skate park.  At the café, after telling him to sit still and stop playing many times, he fell of his chair head first.  He was consoled by a huge cuddle from Mum and some marshmallows.

For the beach picture, he turned around because he didn’t want me to see the sand that he was going to throw in his hands!

Road Trip - Part 1

The four of us took a small road trip over a weekend to a great surf beach a few hours south.  It was a little cold to swim in the ocean, so we explored the beaches and parks.

Boys Only

Any time I have the camera out, Cooper wants a picture taken.  He really doesn’t like being in front of the camera but he loves looking at himself!  I was taken a few pictures to demonstrate a colour tool at work and Cooper wanted to be involved.  I used the self-timer on the camera and then Cooper and I ran, sat down and posed for the camera!

Mother's Day

Normally, every holiday and birthday in our house gets celebrated with cinnamon and sugar donuts.  That all changed on Mother’s Day.  Victoria wanted something different and I surprised the kids with frozen waffles for Mummy.  While this sounded like a great plan, I didn’t count on Ellie and Cooper liking them so much.  They would have eaten the whole box, but they did leave one waffle for Mummy.  Next holiday, I think we will do this again but we will buy 2 boxes!

You might be wondering why the waffle box is on the sofa.  Cooper couldn’t wait to have then, so he carried the box around until it was time to toast them!

Puzzles

Cooper is very good at puzzles.  He has mastered all of our simple puzzles and now puts together 100 piece puzzles all by himself.
